Hi Guys, i read that before Crystal Pistol you were in other bands. Which were their names and which kind of music did you play?
Greg: Me, Brian, and Dave were in a punk band called The Cartels. We played a gig in Turin once.
Pinto: I was in a cowpunk band called SaddleSores until I realized I was beating a dead horse.
Mik: The past doesn't mean anything when you Are the future.

How did you meet and when did you decide to create Crystal Pistols? Why did you choose this monicker? Is there any particular meaning behind it?
Greg: Mik was friends with Brian and Dave from years ago so somehow we got together.I can't remember. We all drink alot.
Pinto: I ran into Mik at a local water hole while he threw beer mugs at the band playing and got his number. I kidnapped him the next day, took him to the horse ranch where I live and locked him up there for half a year or so. Meanwhile we hooked up with Greg,Dave and Brian who were looking for a singer and guitar palyer. We all knew of each other from the other bands we were in.
Brian: Right before I went into rehab I was in a band called the Cartels with Dave and Greg... When I got out there were 2 more members and a new band name...I don't ask questions
Dave: We met at mumble mumble... and then mumble mumble... and that was that.

I didn't listen to such a terrific thing like this since the times of "Timebomb" by Buckcherry or of the Beautiful Creatures! You can play such a sleaze street kick ass rock'n'roll but with very modern sounds! Which bands of the past influenced you the most and what do you think about Buckcherry, Beautiful Creatures and the Scandinavian rock wave lead by Backyard Babies?
Greg: I like The Stones, Guns and Roses, The Sex Pistols, The NY Dolls..I like all those Scandinavian bands a lot but I like Scandinavian women more.
Pinto: All those bands you mentioned are alright. But none of them have the full package if you know what I mean. We have the full package and then some.

"Everybody hates you when you love rock'n'roll" is a mix of hate and pure adrenaline! The songs that more excited me with their lyrics are "All the Freaks", "Live fast die young" and "Line it up"! Would you like to tell us what do these songs exactly speak about?
Mik: They speak about the art of my demise.

Listening to "No Fun city" I found out that Canada, even if full of very good rock'n'roll bands, is not the right place for a rockstar. I mean that also in Canada there are cities which seem to feel asleep and which need your shows "to set the nite on fire"!!! What do you think about this impression that i have? Do you agree?
Brian: No Fun City is about Vancouver... It's a great place to live but the maggots who run the city don't let us have any fun.

Yesterday evening I found out how true is the statement "Everybody hates you when you love rock'n'roll". I was with my friends in the car and we were listening to "All the freaks" at a very high volume. People were looking at us in such a frightened way! I think that the purpose of rock'n'roll should be this: disturbing people and showing them the uncontrollable side of society, making them remember that rules cannot lead human lives just in one way direction, in few words is shocking and shaking! What do you think about this? What do you believe is your mission?
Greg: It self destructed before I could finish reading it.
Brian: I think the people who lke our music are the most well adjusted people in society...they are comfortable with themselves and the way they live their lives...It's the rest of society that sux ass...The mindless hordes who only
know how to follow the fuckin leader... Individuality is the spice of life...I am not a sheep...but I do like goats
Pinto: Rock and Roll represents freedom. Nothing scares people more than real freedom (see Easy Rider).
Mik: So when you shoot the P***, you tell him... "Everybody hates you when you love rock'n'roll".
Dave: Question too long. Mumble mumble...

Believe me when I say that this summer I'll make everyone hate me on the beach! I'll pump up the volume of my stereo on "Live fast die young", and why not. I could find out some beautiful girl loving Crystal Pistol. What do you think? Isn't it a good idea?
Mik: Don't make them hate you on the beach, make them suck you rock 'n' roll cock.
Pinto: It's a CP guarantee. Pumping the volume WILL lead to pumping the BABES!! 30 day money back gurarantee minus shipping and Handling.
Greg: Yes the subliminal messages are working. Now how do you feel about small animals?

What is the process behind the birth and the realization of your songs? Who writes the lyrics and who composes music? Is it a team work or each one of you has a particular task?
Mik:There is no birth to our songs, only a rock 'n' roll abortion.
Greg: All of us write the music. Mik writes lyrics because he has to sing them.
Pinto: Each person does have a general, particular role but we don't shy away from stepping on each other's toes and territories.

Recently you opened for Marilyn Manson and in the past you opened for Faster Pussycat and Pretty Boy Floyd. Did you have the chance also to meet them personally? Which kind of memories do you have of them?
Mik: Yes I met them. And I held 'em close when they realized that I was sent to destroy them.
Greg: I remember the PBF guy puking all over the dressing room..Manson was cool, very mellow.
Pinto: I walked up to Manson and said "Iyympuntoibndmmmph . . . hee hee". What I meant to say was "I'm Pinto from CP", but was too messed up to pronounce. He was very Goth about it.
Brian: Both those shows were awesome...Faster is one of my favourite bands but playing with Manson in front of several thousand people was an adrenaline rush...I like big stages
Dave: Madonna from Marilyn Manson was a prick.

What do you know about the case of censorship towards Marilyn Manson's live show in Italy? Have you ever had such kind of problems? Don't you think that in some way censorship could work as a great promotional means? Many rock bands of the past used it that way, take for example W.A.S.P., the more the P.M.R.C. opposed, the more their popularity increased!
Greg: Haven't heard about Manson being censored in Italy though it's not surprising..I don't think we will have a problem because Mik is so pissed half the time you can't understand what he's singing.
Mik: Fuck censorship.
Pinto: Don't know anything about it. Any publicity is good publicity.
Brian: People who are for censorship are those who fear they didn't do a good enough job teaching their kids right and wrong. I never heard of Marilyn Manson being censored in Italy, but it happens all the time over here as well. As for us, we have been banned from many clubs. One strip club in particular banned us because Mik wrote "suck my c***" in permanent pen on the stage...
Dave: Once I touched my stick, I could never turn back.

Mik sometimes you appear on stage with a t-shirt written "I fucked Robin Black". Which kind of relation do you have with Robin Black & IRS?
Mik: Robin Black is a weak imitation of me. But I do love him and respect him. I'm just sorry I destroyed his career.

I think that one of the best features of your album is the way it sounds! Your style is modern and heavy and the recording is perfect! I suppose that it also depends on the precious cooperation of Jeff Dawson and the equipment of Mushroom and Profile Studios of Vancouver? There have recorded myths like Fear Factory, Skid Row, Age of Electric and many other artists! Which kind of sensation did you feel when you entered these studios?
Mik: The sensation of being too high on cocaine and not knowing which room to sing in.
Greg: I remember I was grinding my teeth a lot..Yeah Jeff is a great talent and a great friend who truly believes in our band..
Pinto: Jeff Dawson did a great job. Apparently the studio is Haunted by the ghost of an old native feller.
Dave: Who's Jeff Dawson? Who's Age of......what?

Have you some particular plans for your future?
Mik: Everyone loves Crystal PIstol and in the future, we will record an album in Italy while fucking your women.
Greg: We got some interest..We need some Liras, Deniros, Cash..Know what I'm sayin.
Pinto: We're ready for a full length right now. We can start touring tommorow if the funding was there. I'd like to come over and play Italy.
Brian: We're ready to take on the fukin' world...is the world ready for us? ...I think so.
Dave: In the future, I would like to lawn bowl. Naked.

So guys, I wonder if you have ever thought about how hell could be. According an Italian rock band (Fuori Uso www.fuoriusoweb.com), down there we could keep on doing whatever we like and making a mess, we could also meet great legends like Jimi Hendrix and Randy Castillo!!! What do you think about it? How would you describe hell?
Mik: Could it get any worse?
Pinto: It's 6 a.m. and some one says in a shaky voice "We're out. THERE'S NOMORE!!!". Welcome to Hell.
Greg: Are there any road blocks in hell?
Brian: My life.

Now each one of you should add one or more adjectives or a little description to each one of these people and things:

Acid Pills
Mik: Acid’s for hippies.
Greg: No thanks!!
Pinto: Where?
Brian: an old friend I don't see anymore
Dave: ...mumble...

Mik: Yes please.
Greg: How much?
Pinto: Where?
Brian: An old friend I have been reunited with...
Dave: Blow it up my ass.

Pinto: Why?
Brian: again I hate religion
Dave: Guns?

Greg: Self induced Re-hab
Pinto: I enjoy horse back riding, long walks on the beach and licking empty flaps.
Brian: Inhaling and ejaculating.

Mik: I love Italy, but I can't believe the P*** didn't call me after he fucked the Hell out of me.
Pinto: Words are cheap. Wait till I get there and I'll show you what I want to do...
Brian: Why do you park in the middle of the street... Don't people get run over because of this?
Dave: Yeah whatever.
